Membership Director(full-time)

Dolphin Research Center (DRC) currently has an opening for Membership Director. The position requires the person to be friendly and outgoing, a self-starter, able to work with a minimum of supervision and a "team player."

Primary Responsibilities
Management of the membership program (15,000+ members)
Management of the donor database using Income Manager
Development of new membership programs and services
Development of creative direct mail fundraising campaigns
Development of online fundraising campaigns
Management of membership communications including monthly e-mails, bi-monthly newsletters and quarterly updates
Management of website development
Statistical analysis of response rates and programs
Management of contribution data entry, report preparation and acknowledgements
Supervision of full-time membership assistant and part-time volunteers
Provide superior customer service to members
Assist with newsletter production
Special event planning and management

Secondary Responsibilities
Support the V.P. of Marketing and Development
Support Customer Service and Gift Shop as required
Assist the Animal Care and Training department when necessary
Committee participation depending on special interests and workload
Qualifications & ExperienceApplicants should have excellent computer skills, significant experience using databases, spreadsheets or financial software and performing Word mail merges. Good math skills, organizational ability, and effective written and oral communication skills are required. The ideal candidate will be someone who wants a career in fundraising for non-profit organizations. Applicants will be required to submit names, addresses and phone numbers of three references (not immediate family) for a background check.
